Both Parties Are Not The Same

Trying to equivocate just proves who you really are.

Me: Goose, I never thought I would live in a country where all the national policies could be summed up in a single word, "Stupid."

I had someone yesterday start into the BS - "I hate what both political parties have done to the country." Those are code words for I voted for tRump and cannot admit how stupid I am or that I like what he is doing because I am a racist.

Goose: You should know well by now, that it is easy to over estimate the intelligence of most bigots.

Me: It is just hard because you want to give everyone the benefit of a doubt especially people you have known for years, but there comes a time when it is impossible to ignore racism and anti-feminist policies. It hard to believe we have officials who would be happy if women could not vote and were relegated to staying at home and making babies. These officials have made it to the highest levels of our government. They would like nothing more than to see a national ban on abortion.

Goose: Let me call out that they have put an individual on a pedestal and encouraged him to violate the constitution and move forward with an agenda filled with hate. That agenda does nothing to help the average citizen. The agenda clearly has the president in a position that is above the law. Our constitution was not written that way.

Me: Thanks for those points Goose, I have a lot to say so I will take it from here.

Let me remind everyone:

Both parties did not attack the seat of our government and try to overturn a free and fair election.

Both parties did not nominate and elect the person who is a felon, a crook, a racist, and a vengeful asshole who has turned the justice department into his personal attack dogs.

Both parties did not send the National Guard and military troops into our cities.

Both parties did not embrace Putin, the murderous Russian dictator.

Both parties did not attack our universities and the law firms that represented clients the president doesn't like.

Both parties did not turn the White House into a center of bribery and graft.

Both parties did not accept a 747 that will cost a Billion to refurbish for a personal plane after the president is out of office.

Both parties did not establish a masked force of goons who snatch people off the streets and throw them into unmarked vans.

Both parties did not establish detention centers built on the idea of cruelty.

Both parties did not stop asylum seekers from entering our country.

Both parties did not ship detainees off to notorious foreign prisons without them having due process.

Both parties did not try to rewrite history so that slavery is ignored. The revisions include removing prominent black people from government websites.

Both parties did not pack the Supreme Court with justices who lied under oath and took their positions with the understanding that their job was to overturn Roe v Wade and make the president above the law.

Both parties did not elect someone who has bragged about sexual abuse and has in fact been found by a jury to have raped someone as the term rape is commonly understood.

Both parties did not elect someone who demanded to have a military parade in DC in his honor.

Both parties did not elect someone who has decided the best way to deal with economic numbers that he doesn't like is to hide them.

Both parties did not elect someone who openly called for rigging the next election through gerrymandering.

Both parties did not elect someone who was impeached twice, tried to extort Ukraine, and has welcomed interference by Russia in our elections.

Both parties did not elect someone who destroyed a bi-partisan border solution so he could use the border as a campaign issue.

Both parties did not elect someone whose major legislation will increase the deficit by somewhere between $3.4 and $5.5 trillion while giving the rich a tax break and removing food and healthcare programs that helped the poor.

Both parties did not elect someone who is anti-science and has attacked basic research at NIH while attacking the efficacy of vaccines that have proven to save thousands of lives.

Both parties did not elect someone who takes bribes from companies (I am thinking of you Apple) and takes a financial position in a company like Intel that would be described as socialist by most people.

Both parties did not elect a mean, vindictive a-hole who has threatened our allies and slapped tariffs on goods which of course is driving up prices for all of us.

So you can equivocate (use ambiguous language so as to conceal the truth or avoid committing oneself) all you want, just realize that by saying both parties are the same, I know the truth.

You voted for tRump whch means you are likely racist and anti-feminist but want to pretend that all his horrible policies don't matter. Well they do and it will take a lot of work to repair our country.
